The firefighters of the provincial command of Naples, of the detached section of Ischia, arrived on both sites with different means to try to tame and contain the flames. The agents of the 11B team of Ischia, while they were intent on reaching the fire that broke out in a piece of land in Forio, noticed along the way that a large fire had broken out in Lacco Ameno, in a hole near the external Lacco-Forio ring road. The origin of the fire appears to be the uncontrolled burning by unknown persons who circumvented the prohibitions and ordinances originally issued for the “regional fire emergency”. The flames broke out in a field along the road that leads to some areas of Mezzavia, which was closed in both directions to facilitate extinguishing operations. At the same time, the firefighters of Ischia had to intervene on a fire that broke out in similar circumstances and according to the same dynamics. The requests for intervention to 115 were made, one after the other, shortly before 1pm. But they are not the only interventions for the island firefighters this morning. In fact, 115 has been busy on multiple fronts since this morning to ensure public and private safety on the island.
