CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE – Last weekend, as part of the great celebrations that involved Castiglione delle Stiviere, the traditional Aloisiana Infiorata also took place and, within it, the first edition of the International Painting Competition “Golden Lily of San Luigi Gonzaga” organized by the Twinning Association led by president Matthias Kissing.
Despite the bad weather that raged especially during Sunday, there were numerous high-level painters from all over Northern Italy who, under the seventeenth-century porticoes of Piazza Ugo Dallòthey tried their hand at the first edition of the artistic competition which had as its theme the Red Cross in the world and in history. There was also a large audience who were able to admire the artists in action.
After the votes carried out by a jury composed of art critics, art professors, historians and the Councilor for Culture Massimo Lucchettithe victory went to a tie with Daniel Bordignon And Marisa Basagliato whom the two Golden Lilies of San Luigi Gonzaga and a sum of 300 euros each. He took the third step of the podium Cinzia Savini.

The first three paintings classified will remain the property of the Twinning Association, but all the works that participated will be exhibited for a month in the Menghini Gallery of modern art by Castiglione.
As mentioned, the international competition was part of the Infiorata Aloisiana which was exhibited on the slope of Ripa Castello, where it was possible to admire large works by Madonna masters and a large canvas created by students of the “Dal Prato” Art School of Guidizzolo. A spectacle admired from above even by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella during the helicopter passage over Castiglione delle Stiviere.
