Italy’s leading radio station, RTL102.5, wins the “Golden Microphone”, current affairs category, with the broadcast ‘Protagonisti’ (live from Monday to Friday from 7pm to 9pm). It is hosted by Francesco Fredella from Foggia with Gianni Simioli, Francesco Taranto, Antonio Sica in the studios of Rome-Fiumicino airport. The awards ceremony will take place on July 4th in the Campidoglio, in Rome.

“Protagonists” jokingly tells the news of the day with various types of guests: actors, ordinary people, athletes, politicians, artists. All connected by telephone. Head of the press office of the Rtl102.5 Group and radio host (on air with “Protagonisti” on radiovision on Rtl 102.5 every evening, from 7 to 9 pm).

He also collaborates with Libero, Il Tempo and the weekly Chi e Gente. For ten years he has been a commentator on Storie Italiane, a spin-off of Uno Mattina, on Rai1. He holds the role of correspondent for Rai1 on “Sabato italiano”, “Storie vera” and in some episodes of “La vita in diretta estate”. For five years, commentator on Pomeriggio 5, on Canale5. Then he collaborates with Gruppo Cairo Editore, (Nuovo Tv) and with Novella 2000, where he signs important scoops, such as the exclusive interview with Gina Lollobrigida. At 18, right in Foggia, he met the radio and it was love at first sight. During his high school years, he began working in local broadcasters: a great training ground that he will never forget.
