they start to rise again, again 2 euros/litre per served

After a bit of respite, the numbers have started to rise again for a few days fuel prices to Italian distributors, in the wake of increases in the international prices of petroleum products. Both petrol and diesel saw an upward trend after the weekend, with green petrol once again breaking through the ceiling of 2 euros per litre.

Prices for Monday 24 June 2024

Going into more detail, again based on the data communicated on the Mimit Price Observatory, today’s average price of the gas it is 1.859 euros per liter in self mode, with an increase of 0.003 €/l over the weekend. The same increase also reached the served sufficient, as we were saying, to bring the cost back to 2 euros per litre. And there is no shortage of distributors on Italian territory, where this price has been widely exceeded, in particular in some pumps present on the motorway.

The price remains lower, but the rise is more relevant for the diesel. Today, in fact, a liter of this fuel at the self-service point costs 1.735 euros, compared to 1.727 last Friday. Similar rise also for the served one, today quoted at €1.877/l in the national average. The average prices charged of LPG are between 0.714 and 0.732 euro/litre (no logo 0.699), while the car methane ranges from 1.314 to 1.386 euro/kg (no logo 1.324).

Forecasts

There are no particularly optimistic forecasts for the next few days on this front. The prices of refined products in the Mediterranean they are always on the rise, especially as regards diesel, and there is a risk these increases could continue, being then also reflected in the prices of fuel at Italian distributors.
