On Thursday 27 June, at 11.00 am, the project “Mitoff suburbs – classical theatre, music and myths in the neighborhoods for “Palcoscenico Catania” will be presented in the halls of the Casale dell’Arte. Beauty without borders.”, promoted by the Municipality of Catania and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.
The socio-cultural objectives of the cultural initiative will be presented to the press and the city, which aims to promote social inclusion in those areas of our territory that present greater suffering in order to spread the seed of culture. The places involved will be: Piazza Castello Ursino, the Casale dell’Arte, Spazio Eventi Idria, Oratorio San Filippo Neri and the Istituto Comprensivo Salvatore Quasimodo.
Present at the meeting were the director and actor Salvatore Guglielmino, Valentina Noto, head of the Catania Culture direction, Riccardo Tomasello president of Idria Eventi and cultural patron and Gabriela Scibilia head of the Casale dell’Arte.
The shows of the nascent festival, “Mitoff Culture suburbs”, will be announced, 10 performances, with casts of absolute importance, from July to December, dedicated to Classical Storytelling Theatre.
“This year – declares the artistic director Salvatore Guglielmino – given the great turnout and the many positive responses from all the participants in the various workshops, laboratories and shows of the previous editions I decided, in addition to the many innovations of this new edition of Mitoff suburbs, to also create a further Theater Laboratory dedicated to Classical Theatre, without age limits, for those who want to get closer to this art by favoring social inclusion. A laboratory that can become, over time, a hotbed of talent for the “Compagnia dei Miti” the new Mitoff-classical theater project”.
