Following the investigations carried out by Piacenza police stationbetween April and May, a man accused of stealing a valuable watch was arrested, a Rolex worth 17 thousand euros. According to what was ascertained last March, the victim of the robbery, resident in the Piacenza area, contacted via an adult dating site an escort, to arrange an appointment in a city hotel to have sexual intercourse for a fee of 150 euros. But the woman she was supposed to meet with was very different from how she had presented herself on the social network, and the fee requested for the service had also been increased to 300 euros. For this reason the customer decided to leave from the hotel, giving up paid sex. An argument would therefore have arisen with the prostitute, and at a certain point a stranger would have approached the two to order the customer to hand over the requested money. The latter managed to escape and to avoid being chased he threw some banknotes on the ground, with the intention of closing the matter.
According to what has been reconstructed, the customer left the hotel by car up to his home, where however he was joined again by the same man who had threatened him, in the company of another, both in a small car. In front of the gate entrance to your home, the victim would have been physically attacked, the two would have in fact thrown him to the ground and then stolen a Rolex watch worth 17 thousand euros and also 2 thousand euros in cash, which he had with him. The criminals then fled before the police arrived. With the elements collected from the victim’s testimony, the Flying Squad acquired the images from the cameras, finding confirmation of the version told and identifying the vehicle in which the robbers had moved. Through further investigations, from the announcement published on the online dating site, it was also possible identify the womanan Albanian citizen residing in Piacenza, and verify that she was using a car compatible with the one used for the robbery.
Furthermore, after analyzing her circle of contacts, it emerged that she was the same woman married to a compatriot with a serious criminal record, including attempted murder for which he had been in prison for a long time. The man’s physiognomy was found to be compatible with that of the robber. The victim subsequently recognized both the man who had actually robbed him and the prostitute with whom he had agreed to meet.
At the end of all the investigative findings it was a precautionary custody order in prison was issued against the man on charges of robbery, carried out in recent days by the Flying Squad. However, investigations to identify the accomplice are still continuing.
The particular modus operandi does not allow us to exclude that the gallant encounter had been organized from the beginning for the purpose of robberynor that there are other victims who have not yet reported similar facts.
