Zecchino d’oro: first television broadcast in the world included by UNESCO in the world heritage list.

Great success for the concert last June 6th, at the Narodni dum theater “The Golden Zecchino in Prague” which saw the girls and boys of the as protagonists Základní škola J. Gutha-Jarkovského and of theItalian Institute of Education of the Czech capital, trained under the guidance and coordination of the various professionals of theAntoniano of Bologna. The event was organized on the initiative ofItalian Cultural Institute of Prague (IIC) and del Small Choir of the Antoniano, in order to encourage the learning and strengthening of the Italian language in the Czech Republic, but also to send a message of peace in a multicultural context. In the spirit of Gold sequin which in 2008 became the first television program in the world to be included byUNESCO on the list of the world heritage of humanity for a culture of peace. On behalf of the Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano, the Director, Fra Giampaolo Cavalliwhile greetings fromIIC of Prague were brought by Director regent Vito De Bellis.

“As an Institute we worked enthusiastically together with our friends from Antoniano to develop the Zecchino d’Oro format in Prague, convinced of the importance of nurturing knowledge and love for the Italian language and culture through the involvement of the young generations – he has declared De Bellis I am also grateful to the local educational institutions for having believed in this project which sees in the study and interpretation of the songs of the Zecchino d’Oro a tool for growth and maturation, but also for sharing ever-present educational values ​​such as solidarity, friendship, inclusion and peace”.

At the end of the evening, Fra Giampaolo Cavalli he commented as follows:

“130 children all singing together, using words of peace, friendship, joy: the words of the Zecchino d’Oro songs. Much of the commitment ofItalian Cultural Instituteof the teachers, so much enthusiasm from the children, who were accompanied in the execution by Alessandro Visintainer, teacher of Antoniano’s singing courses. A moment that perhaps will remain in the memory of girls and boys and, when they grow up, perhaps they will remember that, if you dream together, dreams come true. Even peace.”

The Gold Zecchino was born as an Italian television and recording event in 1959 and over the years has created a unique heritage of children’s songs. Ambassador of Italianness in the world, a real piece in the intergenerational imagination, the Zecchino d’Oro today faces the challenges of contemporaneity through the production of new educational contents that broaden its social, cultural and artistic impact. With a repertoire of over 850 songs, whose themes and contents lend themselves to being declined in an interdisciplinary perspective, the Zecchino d’Oro has become an educational tool to integrate and strengthen the curricular paths of schools, in Italy and abroad .
