A strong burning smell noticed in the morning during lessons, the teachers raising the alarm and getting the little students out of the classrooms, the arrival of the firefighters together with the emergency vehicles. There were moments of apprehension at the La Rosa children’s center in Via Cattaneo, attended by children aged 3-6 and still open at the end of the Soclastic year, due to the fear of a fire which, fortunately, then it didn’t turn out to be so. The situation, from the request for intervention which arrived around 11.45am to the resolution of the problem, was in fact resolved in a very short time: at the origin of the whole thing, a switch which had overheated probably due to a false contact, starting to give off a bad smell, promptly identified by the personnel arriving from the command in via Campania..
After the first safety checks, the children were able to immediately return to the school building, except for those in the affected class who had to wait half an hour so that the technicians from the company sent by the Municipality could replace the malfunctioning switch. All the children at the school were therefore able to eat their meals regularly and continue their day in the structure in via Cattaneo.
