During the final discussions in the trial linked to the case of the alleged involvement with the “Nuovo Clan Partenio” criminal organization, the anti-mafia prosecutor requested a sentence of two years and six months for the two defendants. The morning was dedicated to the conclusions before the Gup of the Court of Naples Gabriella Logozzo, after the latter had authorized the evidentiary integration for the hearing of the main witness, Alfonso Gnerre. The public prosecutor Anna Frasca reiterated the request for conviction for Renato Freda And Massimo Evangelistaaccused of obstruction of justice aggravated by the mafia method, in relation to the alleged threats made to Gnerre in the context of the process. During the hearing, the defendants’ lawyers, Gaetano Aufiero And Patrizio Dello Russo, raised procedural issues, including the Court of Cassation’s decision on Evangelista’s precautionary measure. Aufiero also requested the acquittal of his client and the transmission of the documents to the Prosecutor’s Office for the accusations of slander made by Gnerre against the Carabinieri. The sentence has now been issued: 2 years and 2 months of detention for Renato Freda and acquittal for not having committed the crime for Massimo Evangelista.
