GUBBIO – This afternoon (Sunday 23 June) at 5.30 pm, just before it started raining on Gubbio with a heavy downpour, the Carabinieri And Fire fighters they intervened in Spada due to a brush fire near the houses.
At that moment it was quite windy, and the smoke and flames were getting dangerously close to the houses. The inhabitants of Spada called the Carabinieri who intervened on the spot together with the Fire Brigade in the area upstream of via della Strada Vecchia.
The brush fire was extinguished without causing any danger to homes or people. Investigations to understand whether it was malicious in nature.
