Sunday of accidents and queues along the highways of Liguria

GENOA – Intense traffic and a flurry of accidents this Sunday afternoon along the highways of Liguria. An accident occurred on the A10 at around 6.45pm Albenga in the direction of Genoa. A one kilometer queue formed on the stretch to allow rescue operations and the removal of the vehicles involved. Shortly afterwards, at 7pm, an accident also occurred on the A6 in the stretch between Carcare and Altare. A motorbike was involved. The toll in this case is two seriously injured.

At the Genoa hub there is a queue between the airport and the junction with the A7 in the direction of the Genova Ovest exit where the number of vehicles heading to the ferry terminal at the port has increased since 5pm. On the A12 there is a queue between Nervi and the junction with the A17 due to heavy traffic. While further east, a queue was reported for practically the whole day between the Albiano Magra-Ceparana and Brugnato junctions in the direction of Genoa due to works.

In the morning an accident occurred on the A12 near Lavagna with one person injured (Read here). On the A26 around lunchtime there was another accident which caused no injuries but queues during the repair phases. Previously, another accident had occurred on the A10 near Genoa Airport, again with consequences mainly for traffic.
