One of the six workers injured on Friday night in the accident at the Aluminum plant in Bolzano has died in Verona hospital. The man of foreign origin, whose details have not been disclosed for the moment, had been transported at night by helicopter to the major burns unit in Borgo Trento, where however last night he died due to the severity of his injuries.

In a note from recent days, the Prosecutor’s Office explained that “the accident occurred during the casting and cooling phase of molten aluminum in a mold during which the explosion occurred. There are, at present, no hypotheses on the causes of the explosion. They will have to be verified through technical investigations which will be carried out in cross-examination, following the appointment of experts”, reiterates the Prosecutor’s Office. “At present there are still no suspects, as the investigating bodies have to reconstruct the guarantee positions within the plant on the basis of the company documentation that was acquired following the first interventions”, concludes the note.
