She died on Saturday afternoon 22 June in a car accident along the Flaminia state road Catia Calisti57-year-old singer from Gualdo Tadino, who became famous in the 1980s for her duet on Fantastico ’85 in “Un’economia da poco” with Anna Oxa.
The accident
Calisti found no escape in the tragic head-on collision, immediately after the Gaifana junction, with a Yaris traveling in the opposite direction. On board mother and daughter aged 70 and 50, Roman. The crash was extremely violent, with the two women stuck between the sheets of metal, so much so that the intervention of the firefighters was necessary to get them out of the carcass of the car. Her daughter, however, in code yellow, was taken to the hospital in Foligno.
The Flaminia was closed for a long time, in both directions, with Anas staff working to restore traffic. The traffic police are also busy reconstructing the dynamics and causes of the dramatic head-on.
Unfortunately, help for Catia Calisti was useless: the injuries sustained were too serious, with the doctors only able to confirm her death. And so Gualdo Tadino mourns one of his stars, with the news of the singer’s death which quickly spread around the city. There was also immediate condolences on social media and condolences to the family and her husband Giovanni.
