Like every year, LEGAMBIENTE and the Touring Club awarded the most beautiful sea in Lazio. All the beaches in Lazio were evaluated with a series of criteria: Welcoming of the beach, quality of the water, presence of activities in the city… The best beaches then received from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5 “Sails”.
Unfortunately, no beach in Lazio has obtained the maximum, even if Ventotene, the beautiful island in the province of Latina, managed to bring home four sails. Slightly worse, but still of very high quality, the beaches of Gaeta, Formia, Minturno, Montalto di Castro, Sabaudia, San Felice Circeo, Sperlonga, Tarquinia and Terracina, awarded with three Sails. Finally, Anzio, Ostia, Nettuno, Ponza and Santa Marinella received two Sails.
Not only the sea was rewarded, the lakeside locations also received their recognition. Bolsena, Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano were decreed the three best by Legambiente, also obtaining 4 Vele. Bracciano, Capodimonte and Montefiscone on Lake Bolsena and the lakeside municipalities of Turano and Salto have therefore obtained three stars.
