Sant’Agata de Goti
The situation for the Sant’Agata de’ Goti hospital was already delicate. The tense spirits of citizens and administrators were palpable. After the words of the President of the Region De Luca last night, today the anger has certainly increased.
In the morning the activists of the committee to defend the hospital urgently requested a meeting with all the mayors and the Sannite delegation.
“Given the situation of the Sant’Alfonso hospital, we activists Pina De Masi, Margherita Rossano and Michela Ottobre ask for a meeting with all the mayors of the countries that impact Sant’Alfonso, majorities and minorities, with the Honorable Rubano and Senator Matera, with the committees, with the local associations, with the parishes.
We ask you to meet us citizens as early as Tuesday, after the De Luca meeting, despite his video message in which his intentions are clear. We will not come to Naples, the fight must be fought here, on the territory we know and where we know how to move!
The place and time of the meeting is decided by our mayor of Sant’Agata (Riccio ed.), you can opt for our beautiful Council Room, the former Cinema Italia, or the entrance hall of Sant’Alfonso.
There is no point in repeating the same things over and over again, citizens are fed up, now strong and determined actions are needed.
I now turn to the citizens of all the municipalities involved, start taking on your responsibilities too, since if in that famous tent in 2019 instead of those 10/12 people, who at the end of their strength were able to get signed and approved a decree or 41/2019, you were all present, today things would have gone differently, today we would have a functioning hospital, let’s try not to always place the blame on others, everyone has their responsibilities and you fellow villagers perhaps even more than politicians. We turn to you because now we need warriors and not people who, from the comfort of their home, from a PC keyboard or smartphone, disdain writing, but remain there writing.
We are evaluating the various actions to be taken, and we would like to share them with you for a “common” struggle, but remember that with or without you we will move forward, the chains are always ready, of course if we managed to be truly united, truly putting Politics aside, and not just a union of façade, we will get to the goal much sooner.
