VAST. Casalbordino cries Luca Zinni, who died on Wednesday morning in a tragic car accident in Vasto Marina. The young man would have turned 30 on Tuesday and perhaps his funeral will be celebrated on that day. After the accident, the coffin was transferred to the Chieti hospital morgue. The appointment of an autopsy report by the deputy public prosecutor of Vasto is scheduled for Monday morning, Silvia Di Nunzioto the medical examiner Pietro Falco. The expert is expected to perform an autopsy on Monday afternoon. Alcohol tests and toxicological tests will also be carried out. The municipal police of Vasto have already carried out both the alcohol test and the toxicological examination CP, 40 years old from Foggia, driver of the Fiat Doblò van which collided with the Suzuki 850 motorbike driven by Zinni. The forty-year-old was in Vasto for work reasons: he is part of one of the teams of workers carrying out the renovation work on the Vasto-San Salvo railway station.
In order to better understand and establish the conduct of the centaur and the motorist, the Vasto Prosecutor’s Office could decide on a kinematic assessment, an examination which allows us to reconstruct, with a fair margin of approximation, the actual dynamics of the road accident. The analysis of the two vehicles will be important, with particular reference to the location of the damage, the point of impact and the speed. In particular, the kinematic reconstruction allows us to ascertain, through a posthumous analysis, how the accident occurred and what responsibilities should be attributed to the drivers of the vehicles involved. Both the motorbike and the van were seized and transferred to a workshop in San Salvo. In the next few days the prosecutor’s office will appoint its experts. It is not excluded that the victim’s family and the driver of the Doblò will appoint their own expert. In the meantime, the place where the accident occurred was carefully checked by the officers directed by the commander Giuseppe Del Moro through the analysis of traces on the asphalt. Zinni was headed south, the van was traveling in the opposite direction. The impact occurred near the Rio hotel. Several witnesses witnessed the accident.
In these hours there is a succession of messages of condolence addressed to Zinni’s mother Marisa De Cecco and his brother Tommaso Zinni. The Zinni family had not yet recovered from the death of Luca’s father, John, which occurred two years ago. Now a new tragedy has befallen them. “We will try to stay close to them,” declared the mayor of Casalbordino Filippo Marinucci, «to help them in this difficult moment. Of course the pain is a lot. The whole community of Casalbordino is heartbroken.”
