Les Chemins de l’amour! The paths of love. The press conference to present the concert-event at dawn in Trani with the evocative name “Nessun Dorma” began with the piece by Francis Poulenc played by Alfonso Soldano on a grand piano, which stood out against the blue sea. In the evocative and incomparably beautiful setting of the Trabucco Tormaresca, overlooking the sea, in the shadow of the Colonna Monastery, the second edition of the event was presented which aims to be the “Adriatic” answer to the summer concerts of the Amalfi coast, or beyond the Alps, on the southern French coast. An unprecedented musical experience that will open with the first light of dawn Saturday 20 July, in the evocative setting of the Molo San Nicola – Faro Verde with entry at 3.30 am and start at 4.15 am.
“Nessun Dorma” acquires a different allure in the year dedicated to the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the death of the great Italian composer Giacomo Puccini who wrote the famous romance for opera tenor Turandot.
This bewitching legacy is now the spark of an extraordinary encounter, which Trani is preparing to savor between the silence and darkness of the first steps and the red hatching of the dawn in an uncontaminated space of sea and land, at the gates of the village and its marvelous cathedral.
The event, with the support of the City of Trani, is co-produced by the Aldo Ciccolini ETS Foundation and Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani and enjoys the patronage of the Puglia Region – PACT Polo Arti Cultura Turismo of the Region and the Province of Barletta Andria Trani.
The presentation, moderated by the journalist Annamaria Natalicchio, was attended by, in addition to one of the protagonists, representatives of the institutions and the organization to illustrate this concert, more unique than rare of its kind.

More than just a musical performance,Nessun Dorma will be an immersive experience unique which will involve all the senses, combining the beauty of classical music with the incredible natural scenery of the sunrise over the sea, and will accompany the spectators on Saturday 20 July until the first dawn, completely surrounded by the sea because – as the existentialist philosopher Albert Camus claimed – “only the music is equal to the sea”.
To perform the Duo Alboradatwo virtuoso pianists born in Puglia and internationally acclaimed: Alfonso Soldano and Giuseppe Greco. The two established Apulian talents, full professors at the “Niccolò Piccinni” State Conservatories of Bari and “Egidio Romualdo Duni” of Matera, will perform on two theater grand pianos176 keys and 20 fingers that will move in unison to create a unique experience.
Another important announcement enriches the scope of the great event. This was announced by the person who will be the godmother of the event, the regional councillor Grace Di Bari. A streaming with China is planned, in a delicate homage to the students of the great nation’s conservatories, who will soon be working in Puglia to perfect their artistic education.

Starting from the end of August, Chinese students and their families will be guests in Trani to attend the masterclasses organized by maestro Alfonso Soldano and the ‘Aldo Ciccolini’ ETS Foundation. These are – concludes Di Bari – the projects that allow a real relaunch of our land”.
The evocative event will be presented by the Radio Norba speaker Angela Molinari. Furthermore, before the concert, you will be able to taste the delights from the Officina del Gusto of Trani, a sort of sweet overture to the notes of the sea.
Not a simple organization, given the location completely surrounded by the sea, as they explained Elisabetta Papagni, president of the Aldo Ciccolini ETS e Foundation Niki Battagliaartistic director of Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani, who since the first edition last year have joined forces and experience for the success of the event.
The Foundation, named after the famous Italian-French pianist, the maestro who exclusively granted Alfonso Soldano an endorsement to set up an academy for the training of talents, continues its work of disseminating classical music withNessun Dorma. Together with the expertise of Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani, a multifunctional cultural center of the City of Trani, which for years has been offering quality posters to Trani’s cultural offering thanks to the dedication of its artistic director Battaglia, it produces the musical show that will enchant the public in July.

The “light time” program accompanies the light and its manifestation and is intended as a surprise, as befits a night of magic and enchantment. The darkness of the first minutes of the repertoire will be caressed by the elegiac “Clair de Lune” by Claude Debussy until the rosy dawn and the martial “Vincerò” by Calaf.

Alongside Soldano in the immersive experience at the end of July, Giuseppe Greco. Alongside his solo activity, he combines chamber music in various formations such as the duo with the famous pianist Bruno Canino and the one with the soprano Maria Laura Lacobellis. You have recorded the complete Mozart Sonatas and Fantasia for the OnClassical label plus other discs with works by Scarlatti, Beethoven and Chopin.
“Nessun dorma” is an eloquent expression of the cultural and tourist appeal of the area, which responds from the Adriatic shore to the initiatives of the Amalfi coast and the southern French coast. While waiting for the first sun on the Green Lighthouse, spectators will be lulled by the readings and virtuosity of two great masters of theater grand pianos, the performers Alfonso Soldano and Giuseppe Greco, who will combine the beauty of the sea and music in a wonderful synthesis.
