The notice supports the implementation of projects intended for cultural activities that promote the diffusion of cinema and audiovisual heritage to be carried out in the regional territory during the 2024.
A simplified notice for beneficiaries in reporting, with elements of careful evaluation of the creativity and artistic direction of the project, the territoriality of Lazio, the promotion of cinema in its best form throughout Lazio.
The Lazio Region continues to support, through this public notice, cinematographic and audiovisual festivals, exhibitions, awards and dissemination initiatives whose objective is the recognition of cinema as a fundamental factor in cultural, economic and social promotion and development, as well as promotion of the regional territory in order to strengthen the Lazio brand through its locations and its beauties of historical, cultural, artistic and naturalistic interest.
L’total amount of resources referred to in this Public Notice from regional funds is equal to 1,180,000 euros.
Applications to participate in the notice can be submitted by public and private institutions in Lazio, as well as cultural associations, foundations, companies, film libraries and media libraries.
At the time of submitting the application the proposing entities must possess the following requirements:
- operate in the cinema, audiovisual and publishing sectors, with operational and/or legal headquarters in the Lazio region;
- have been established for at least three years from the date of publication of this Notice on the BUR.
Proposing subjects can present a project proposal in one of the following areas of intervention:
Type A): Italian, European or international cinema festival, characterized by research purposes, originality and promotion of the cinematographic and audiovisual works of national and international talents, which include at least one prize competition announced and advertised through the promotion channels of the festival itself;
Type B): Festivals with a cinematographic and audiovisual award, aimed at promoting cinematographic and audiovisual culture and enhancing the artistic qualities of the works and authors. The Award involves, through a selection of cinematographic, television and web work projects, the assignment, by a qualified jury, of awards to operators in the sector in relation to a specific work or to a plurality of works;
Type C): Events (conferences, workshops, etc.) which concern the evolution of the audiovisual industry, the contents, the young audience’s approach to new trends and technologies, as well as the promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions;
Type D): Education, dissemination, diffusion and public awareness activities on audiovisual culture through educational programs, through the use of new technologies, also with the aim of preventing social hardship and marginalization.
The Notice gives the possibility to Festivals, exhibitions and prizes to have different contributions divided into three bandsthe project proposals, in fact, must refer to one of the 3 contribution bands based on a verification of the total budget of the project and the impacts in terms of public and media resonance of the initiative that is intended to be proposed:
- Band 50% of the total cost up to a maximum threshold of euros 150,000 equal to or greater than €80,000.00
- Band 60% of the total cost up to a maximum threshold of euros 45,000 equal to or greater than €30,000.00 and up to €80,000.00
- Band 70% of the total cost up to a maximum threshold of euros 15,000 equal to or greater than €5,000.00 and up to €30,000.00
The contribution that can be requested from the regional Administration for each individual project cannot exceed the maximum percentage of contribution envisaged in the points above calculated on the total expenditure indicated in the financial statement, and in no case exceed the balanced budget, represented by the difference between revenue and outputs of the project itself.
The request for the granting of the contribution must be sent to the Region exclusively, under penalty of inadmissibility, to the following certified email address: [email protected]; starting from 12:00 on 1 July 2024 and no later than 12:00 on 2 August 2024.
