While more than half of Italy was in front of the TV to follow Spain-Italy at the European Championships, during the match, there were some road accidents in the Marche, fortunately without serious consequences. The first occurred at around 9.10pm in via Roma in Fontanelle and involved two cars, with a total of five injured. Ambulances from Suem 118 and fire brigade teams arrived from Motta di Livenza and Conegliano and secured the vehicles involved and extracted a person who was stuck. All five injured were stabilized by the Suem medical staff, who also intervened with medical vehicles and transferred to hospital by helicopter and ambulances between the hospitals of Treviso and Oderzo. The police diverted traffic and investigated the accident. The firefighters’ rescue operations ended after about an hour.

Also around 9pm, on Thursday 20 June, another accident in via Cesare Battisti in Istrana involving a car that ended up overturned: fortunately the driver was unharmed. The firefighters who intervened from Treviso made the car safe, while the driver was assisted by the Suem medical staff. The police were on site to investigate the accident. The firefighters’ rescue operations ended after about an hour.
