A conference that aims to remember the commitment and projects for the territory of the late “Gentle Politician of the Madonie”, Senator Bartolo Fazio, but which aims to highlight the critical issues in the territories and the possible solutions through the testimonies of some of the excellences who they live and work in the Madonie. Many topics will be addressed in Geraci Siculo (PA) on June 22nd starting from 10.00 am in the conference entitled “The Madonie Yesterday and Today: development programs for internal areas”, at the Augustinian Convent in Piazza San Bartolo.
An event organized by the Bartolo Fazio Social Promotion Association, together with numerous institutional and private social partners, who intend to turn the spotlight on the critical issues in the Madonie municipalities, but showing the “beautiful face” of the youth, artisan and entrepreneurial realities that every day they enrich the territories and generate development for the community. “This event marks another important stage in the life of our association – explains Don Giuseppe Amato, President of APS Bartolo Fazio – which now aims to create partnership projects with other entities in the area and to create a network of members who will enrich their contributions how much we will achieve. Bartolo spent a lot on our Madonie and remembering not only his projects, but giving space to the youth entrepreneurial realities that have arisen in recent years gives us hope. We will continue to commit ourselves in this sense to tell the best part of our territory”.
Numerous issues are at the center of the debate, such as the continuous demographic decline, the water crisis, traffic obstacles, absence of logistics hubs and the critical situation of the Petralia hospital. Current issues that have gripped the Madonie for too long now and to which we will try to offer answers through the voice of institutional protagonists, businesses and associations in the area. Participating in the meeting are the Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, the Regional Councilor for Family, Active Policies and Work, Nuccia Albano, the President of the Madonie Union and Mayor of Geraci Siculo, Luigi Iuppa, the President of Aps Bartolo Fazio, Don Giuseppe Amato, the President of Anci Sicilia, Paolo Amenta and the Sole Director of Sosvima, Alessandro Ficile. Interventions planned by local businesses, associations and professionals such as the Corporate Law Lawyer, Marianna Giaconia, the Administrator of the Zipline company, Giovanni Nicolosi, the Administrator of the Adventure Park, Giuseppe La Placa, the President of the Youth Council of Geraci Siculo, Benedetto Corradino and the Idimed Director, Francesca Cerami.
At the end of the event there will also be a “Mediterranean Aperitif” with a guided tasting, which is part of the “Tools for growth and sustainability” project of the Aps Circolo Ekopolis and Idimed, in collaboration with the Municipality of Geraci Siculo and with some local companies.
