Alghero, the centre-right attacks: «But what a tourist city»

Closed car parks, zero information for public transport and access to the beach in pitiful conditions. The center-right coalition starts the attack on the state in which Viale Primo Maggio appears, the street that leads to the main beaches of the city.

«Despite the fact that very little renewal has emerged from the recent elections, with the winning coalition including a good part of the same protagonists of the previous council, therefore of those who created the problem – write Forza Italia, Lega, FdI, Udc, Prima Alghero, Patto per Alghero – we ask the new mayor Cacciotto to include the solution to the problem in his agenda which includes the urgencies to be tackled with determination”.

Cacciotto’s political opponents question whether Alghero is really a tourist city. «As of today, June 20th, with the tourist season underway, the car parks for those who would like to spend a day at the seaside are closed. Furthermore, there is no management or payment stations for parking. Those wishing to use public transport cannot find information on how to take the bus, where the stops are, departure times and how to purchase tickets. Finally, the beach access walkways are in pitiful condition, evidently due to lack of maintenance, with a serious danger that someone could trip and get hurt.”
