Alta Gallura mayors in turmoil: health management ignored. Request for direct dialogue with the Region

Today, in the representation room of the Municipality of Tempio Pausania, a press conference took place which brought together all the mayors of the Alta Gallura area to talk about the dramatic health situation in the area. At the center of the meeting, the growing frustration with the absence of implementation of the corporate actdespite the fact that a year and a half has passed since its approval.

During the conference, the mayors expressed a clear message: the Mayors of the area no longer recognize the authority of the current health management. This follows numerous inefficiencies and broken promises which have heavily compromised the quality of healthcare in the region.

According to the mayor of Tempio Pausania, the approved corporate act was supposed to represent a turning point for local healthcare, but the situation remained unchanged and problematic. Failure to implement the corporate act has led to a number of issues, including shortages of medical personnel, shortages of equipment and insufficient essential services for citizens. The mayors underlined how the current situation has become unsustainable, seriously compromising residents’ right to health.

In light of these facts, it is intended to bypass the current health direction and request a direct discussion table with the Sardinia Region.

Therefore an appeal to the Sardinia Region, asking for attention and collaboration to overcome this health crisis and guarantee the citizens of Alta Gallura a health service that meets their needs.

In this evening’s news interview with the Mayor of Tempio Gianni Addis (7.40pm, 8.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm)
