TRENT. Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti and Faisa Cisal report yet another episode that occurred today, 19 June, in Riva del Garda to the detriment of a driver who, as per the regulations, refused to let a user on board with an electric scooter . It happened at 6.40 at the Viale Martiri stop (after the Riva station), on the line that leads to Rovereto.
The attacker – the unions communicated in a note – kicked and punched the driver and then fled.
The unfortunate person went to the emergency room for the first checks and subsequently, on the advice of the doctors, was transported to the Rovereto hospital for further visits. The incident will be reported to the competent authorities.
The unions underline that the Government Commissioner’s commitment to reconvene the social partners towards the middle of April to start a permanent technical table “has been absolutely disregarded”.
“The evident indifference that surrounds these manifestations of arrogance and prevarication is worrying! The attacks put drivers, operators, controllers and front office workers at risk. Added to the responsibility of offering a public service in the best possible way is the fear of risking physical safety. Even passengers are now victims of profound discomfort and insecurity in using a service dedicated to the entire community. Health and safety are a right for the worker and it is a duty of the institutions to guarantee them”, concludes the note signed by the secretaries Franco Pinna, Massimo Mazzurana, Nicola Petrolli and Paolo Saltori.
