Genoa. Are approximately five thousand the students who today face the first test of the high school leaving exam in the province of Genoa. Double in all of Liguria.

Liguria is al third place for percentage of students not admitted with 4.8% behind Sardinia (7.4%) and Valle d’Aosta (4.9%).

There first test, the same for everyone, provides a choice between seven tracks: two tracks (one of poetry and one of prose) for type A which involves the analysis of the text, three tracks for the argumentative text of type B and two tracks for the current topic of type C .

We leave at 8.30. Six hours is the time available for the process. It is not permitted to leave the Institute before three hours have passed after the delivery of the tracks.

Tomorrow, Thursday, the second test which is different depending on the field of study. In Classics there is the translation of Greek, in Scientific mathematics, human sciences for the high school of Human Sciences and foreign language and literature 3 in Linguistics.

For the professional institutes the second test is not centered on the disciplines but on the emerging skills and the fundamental thematic cores of direction. It is a single integrated test in which the ministry provides the ‘general national frame of reference’ and the commissions build the tracks by declining the ministerial indications according to the specific training path activated by the school.

Only for the Esabac, Esabac techno sections, sections with international option, a third test is scheduled for June 25th.

L’Oral (now called colloquium) will begin on June 24 or 25.

Nello final ballot the class council assigns the score for the credit gained in the second two-year period and in the last year up to a maximum of forty points: twelve points for the third year, thirteen for the fourth year and fifteen for the fifth year. The behavioral evaluation contributes to the determination of the school credit. The final grade of the State Exam is expressed in hundredths divided as follows:

maximum 40 points for school credit
maximum 20 points for the first piece of writing
maximum 20 points for the second paper
maximum 20 points for the interview.

The commission can assign up to 5 “bonus” points for those who are entitled to them. The sum of all these points results in the final exam grade.
The maximum score is 100 (with honors possible). The minimum score to pass the exam is 60/100.
