Bussola, De Andrè’s first time in public. At the exhibition I meet Dori Ghezzi and Loredana Macchietti Minà

The exhibition on Bernardini’s Bussola is a precious opportunity to retrace the careers of the greatest artists on the national and international music scene. So on Friday 21 June, at 6pm at Palazzo Mediceo, an unmissable meeting is scheduled with Dori Ghezzi, wife of Fabrizio De André, and with Loredana Macchietti, wife of Gianni Minà.

Two figures closely linked to Sergio Bernardini who opened the doors of his iconic Versilia venue to host the first concert of the Genoese singer-songwriter.

A great event about which De André himself wrote in the Corriere della Sera: “Why do I, a man of the left, make my debut at the Bussola, temple of the rich public? Out of friendship with Sergio Bernardini, out of laziness, because Bernardini offered me a venue and I didn’t have the time or desire to look for it, but above all because I don’t have to convince the public but just get myself used to any public”.

And certainly Bernardini’s strong charisma had been decisive in wresting from De André the commitment to perform at his Bussola.

Gianni Minà underlined precisely this character aspect of the great entrepreneur in the preface written to Bernardini’s autobiography: “There are men in the world of communication and entertainment who have often, more clearly than the protagonists, the facts and the artists they propose, the gift of imagination, intuition, invention”.

The meeting, moderated by Andrea Michelozzi, will also see the participation of Mario Bernardini, Sergio’s son, the director Andrea Soldani, Andrea Tenerini and Alessandro Volpi curators of the exhibition and the general director of the Terre Medicee Foundation Davide Monaco.

It will be an opportunity to remember that historic concert but also to enter into the life of the unforgettable Genoese singer-songwriter, as well as one of the greatest and most cultured journalists.

At the end of the meeting, around 7 pm, a guided tour of the current exhibition at Palazzo Mediceo is scheduled, with the curators who will reveal numerous background stories and curiosities that have also emerged from the copious documentation consulted for the preparation of this great exhibition.

Finally, at 9.30 pm, the Scuderie Granducali cinema will host the screening of the docufilm “La Bussola. The Star Collector” directed by Andrea Soldani.

The exhibition ticket (10 euros full and 8 euros reduced) will also allow you to attend the screening of the documentary film.
