what future for Iannone? The point on the market

what future for Iannone? The point on the market

We all still have in our eyes what happened at Misano, between the successes of Toprak Razgatlioglu and the stoic feat of Danilo Petrucci, but parallel to the action on the track the market, which has also taken important steps in Romagna, from many points of view. For example, there was no shortage of announcements to begin with from the renewal of Michael Van Der Mark in BMW and that of Alex Lowes in Kawasaki, which he will support Axel Bassani – also formally confirmed at Misano – in the new Bimota by Kawasaki team.

Among these announcements, the most interesting in relation to the rest of the market is that of BMW, which by renewing Van Der Mark he effectively closes the door to Andrea Iannone, searched both last year and this year as a possible new purchase. In this sense though the Toprak Razgatlioglu factor played an important role, given that the German company quickly realized that it already had its own leader at home, who had also sponsored the confirmation of the Dutchman several times.

For Iannone, therefore, there are essentially three paths: Ducati Aruba, Go Eleven and MotoGP. The first obviously depends from the choice of Alvaro Bautista, which also in Romagna confirmed that it is in no hurry regarding a decision on its future, while the third depends on Pramac’s moves, who in the event of a move to Yamaha could evaluate the Abruzzo native as a standard bearer. In the middle it remains as mentioned Go Eleven, for which being able to count on Iannone for another season would obviously be good news, from many points of view.

Bautista’s seat is essentially the only official one still up for grabs, given that all the other groups connected to the houses have put their future on paper, fully confirming the current pilots, among whom there are happy and unhappy ones. He currently belongs to the second category Jonathan Reawhich is unlikely to decide to interrupt its relationship with Yamaha in any case.

Moving on to independent teams, the situations are heterogeneous to say the least. In fact, there are teams that will most likely remain with the current drivers as Marc VDS – who could make a second bike for Augusto Fernandez – And Barni with Danilo Petrucci, while for others everything seems to be deciphered. An example is Motocorsa, whose marriage to Michael Rinaldi is not going wellwhile Puccetti must first decide whether to stay with Kawasaki or respond to the BMW sirens, especially now that Bonovo has announced his exit from the scene at the end of the season.

I’m leaving right from Bonovo two interesting profiles like Garrett Gerloff and Scott Redding, obviously looking for accommodation. For the American, a return to GRT is to be ruled out, where Remy Gardner is traveling at full speed towards renewal, while Dominique Aegerter could be undermined by Stefano Manzi, looking for an opportunity to make the leap to Superbike.
