A medium-sized fire broke out this morning around 11.30 am inside the Court of Cassation building in Rome. The fire, perhaps caused by the short circuit of an electric power strip in an office where an air conditioner and a refrigerator were connected, would have developed inside some offices on the third floor of the building in Piazza Cavour. According to what was reported by Lapresse, the smoke quickly invaded all the rooms, leading to the evacuation of the entire building. The “Palazzaccio” has been declared unusable until tomorrow by the firefighters. At the moment there are no injuries, intoxications or court files destroyed. As a precaution, the electricity supply was interrupted.
