Agerola, sorrow for the death of professor Alberto Silvestri

Mourning in Agerola and on the Amalfi Coast for the death of the professor Alberto Silvestri. The former art history teacher at Agerola middle school passed away yesterday in Salerno hospital where he was hospitalized due to his worsening health conditions. He was 76 years oldcompleted last May.

A well-known and appreciated teacher, he trained the children of Agerola by directing them to art and beauty. He was also an esteemed artist on the Amalfi Coast where he held many exhibitions in Ravello, Positano and in the ancient Arsenals of Amalfi. He leaves us a person with the kindness of other times, with a good heart, always ready to intervene to help others.

He leaves behind his wife Rosa, his children Matteo, Daniela and Giovanni, his dear grandchildren Alberto, Flavia, Maurizio and Ludovica, his daughter-in-law Maria, his son-in-law Andrea, and a void that is difficult to fill for his friends, former colleagues and students, and all his people who knew him and appreciated his human and professional qualities.

The funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 19 Junein Agerola in the Church of Santa Maria La Manna at 10.30.
