146 children from 4th – 5th grade, 1st – 2nd middle school, of which 46 females, from Valtellina and Valchiavenna, experienced the Alpini school camp, third edition, in the Cittadella dello Sport, promoted by the Ana Valtellinese section. Training experience full of training activities, linked to the values of solidarity, friendship, identity, respect for the common good, and play. Alpine volunteers, corporals, instructors, from the Civil Protection, Carabinieri, Red Cross, dog handlers, do their utmost. Four Battalions: Edolo, Sondrio, Tirano, Morbegno, involved in marching, carrying out operations, excursions, climbing, playful challenges in observing the rules, in days marked by the raising and lowering of the flag.

“Perfect location, we thank the town for its availability – says Gianfranco Giambelli – president of the Valtellina section, we have made a good and right choice; we need to have more school camps to please more kids, we started with these numbers and we don’t want to go down, but to provide the young people with a continuous and complete training course; we push for the kids to be close to the groups during each activity. The kids were very respectful, wonderful, you just need to motivate them.” Paolo Menini on behalf of the municipal administration: “We willingly accepted the request of the Alpini, hosted the school camp and made all the structures available; we believe in the values of the Alpini and we are proud. The boys will leave satisfied and with optimism for the future”.
