TRENT. The man stabbed yesterday afternoon in Levico Terme is fighting against death in hospital in Trento: a dispute between condominium residents which resulted in an attempted murder.
The alarm went off around 5.30pm on Tuesday 17 June, in via Santa Croce, where a 49 year old of Moroccan origin he was found on the ground in a pool of blood, in very serious conditions due to a stab wound to the throat.
His neighbor, a 46-year-old Albanian citizen, attacked him.
According to initial reconstructions, the origin of the dispute was due to neighborhood problems, which between the two – residents with their families in two apartments in the same condominium – had been dragging on for some time now.
The incident took place in a matter of minutes in a residential area, located halfway between the town center and the football fieldand therefore the lake.
The argument began in the attacker’s apartment, where the 49-year-old showed up, and then continued and degenerated outside the building.
The dynamics still remain to be clarified in detail, but what is certain is that the victim, who underwent surgery, is hospitalized with a guarded prognosis in the intensive care unit of the Santa Chiara, while the Albanian citizen tried to escape but shortly after he turned himself in and showed up at the police station.
The Albanian citizen in the meantime he tried to walk away, but was stopped by the police a short distance from the site of the stabbing, where several local residents were present.
A serious accusation is now pending against the 46-year-old: the alleged crime is attempted murder.
The Carabinieri carried out the investigations and interviewed the witnesses: the objective is to reconstruct the facts and clarify the reasons for the gesture.
