anticaviedelsale.eu, the new portal created, is online and operational to enhance and promote the territories crossed by the ancient salt routes that connected western Liguria with lower Piedmont: a territorial marketing plan developed within the Value of networking project, promoted by the Region and Agency in Liguria, which concerns and involves 16 municipalities in the province of Imperia, eight municipalities in the province of Savona, six municipalities in the Cuneo area and two in the province of Turin. The site aims to promote and enhance a tourist destination such as the hinterland of western and extreme western Liguria through an intuitive and user-friendly digital platform, designed on the needs of travelers and enriched by an interactive map that allows you to consult all points of interest in the area. The new portal enhances the identity of the territory and acts as a communication and information channel and involves local operators by offering them a space to promote their tourist proposals with particular attention to outdoor experiences.

“The role of the Agency in Liguria as a DMO incubator is very important – says the general director of the Agency in Liguria, Matteo Garnero -, and it is a practice that we would like to be able to export to other territories in our region. A system to create intermediate bodies that are fundamental in the creation and management of the product, in a virtuous circle which, starting from the study of the local resources, promotes its excellence, stimulates the productivity of the area concerned and attracts attentive and responsible tourism” .

The portal also includes a section entirely dedicated to “Strade del mare”, a further territorial tourism valorisation project that participates in the Compagnia di San Paolo Territori in Luce 2024 Foundation tender. The objective in this case is the restoration of the historic trails. Through inspections, maintenance and promotional activities, trekking and meetings, the main points of interest on which work will continue in the coming years were identified.
