A training course for mill managers

From mid-July in Calabria a course for oil mill managers.

In San Pietro Lametino on 15, 16, 17 and then 22, 23 July a training event aimed at entrepreneurs and technicians in the sector.

The fundamental objective of the course is to provide a professionalizing path aimed at increasing skills in managing the oil mill for the production of quality extra virgin olive oil.

The “expert oil mill manager” represents the main figure called upon to take charge of the company’s operational choices. At the end of the training, the student will have acquired the necessary skills to be able to evaluate the raw material, adopting the appropriate corrective measures dictated by modern techniques aimed at producing high quality oil. Great attention will be given to aspects relating to the evaluation of the organoleptic quality of oils through sensorial analysis.

Contents:
Operating principles of crusher machines; Traceability. principles, rules and their application; Hygienic control of the plants and the mill; Management and valorisation of by-products and disposal of wastewater; Evaluation of raw materials, products and by-products; Mill safety and accident prevention; Chemical and sensorial evaluation of oils; Marketing; Business management and administration; Innovation and financing.

The number of places is limited to a maximum of twenty-five (25) members.
