Historic achievement by Fabiano, who became the absolute regional champion in the second Tuscan category of cue billiards. The team captained by Ronnie Penati and composed of Vincenzo Allocca, Maurizio Cacace, Fabrizio Faggioni, Pier Giorgio Marai and Marco Minighini, and with Giorgio Ortalli, Igor Quaranta and Luigi Tartarini at their disposal, overcame Marameo E of Pistoia in a hard-fought final by 4-2, the epilogue of an amazing adventure. Over 100 teams will start the competition, divided into 13 groups. Fabiano finished the regular season in second place in its own league and at that point the direct elimination phase began with 64 teams admitted. Fabiano gradually beat, in home and away matches, the famous teams of Discoteca Y of Certaldo, Red Lion of Vernio, Palabiliardo of Florence, Nuova Accademia del Billiardo, also from the Tuscan capital, while in the semi-final it got rid of Poggio Silver medal by Lamporecchio, to reach the final, on the neutral pitch of Coiano (Prato), against the opponents from Pistoia.

A winning path, made of sacrifice, of thousands of kilometers covered and made possible by the cohesion of a group of friends, who were able to count on the precious advice of the ever-present master Umberto Voccia and the support of the sponsors Grand Hotel and Bar Moon of Porto Venere . There was great satisfaction among the protagonists and supporters of the Viale Fieschi association, which in recent years has seen the level of competitiveness of its athletes grow and numerous new enthusiasts approach this discipline. Preparations for the celebrations are in full swing, but the cues are not resting: in fact, the Italian individual championships of Saint Vincent are upon us where 4 Fabiano standard bearers will be present: Alessandro Oleggini (who will have to face the qualifiers) for the third category, while between the second categories, Maurizio Cacace, Fabrizio Faggioni and Cristian Baldacci, earned direct access to the final scoreboard, thanks to the excellent results in the season.
