In the BUR of the Lazio Region n. 51 of 25 June 2024, Resolution no. 416 of 20 June was published containing the “Regional guidelines for the Family and Community Nurse” (IFeC).
This is an important act that must be framed within a broader and transversal path certainly aimed at achieving the objectives of missions 5 and 6 of the PNRR but above all to enhance the implementation of the IFeC figure throughout the national territory, a process already started in some regions of northern Italy. This step should help the system respond more effectively to citizens’ health and social needsnot only in terms of direct assistance, but of educational and preventive interventions aimed at individuals, families and all community institutions.
Going back a bit to the Agenas Document “Guidelines for Family or Community Nurses” of November last year, the core skills, activation models and needs contextualized to the regional territory are defined. Tools and methods for correct assessment and subsequent personalized planning of interventions are also illustrated. Finally it is defined, on a transitory basis and pending the activation of specific university training coursesthe necessary training with also indication of any compensation for those who already possess advanced and specialized skills and certified business experience in the last 5 years.
We await the next few days to understand the real scope of this document, also taking into account the three-year regional assistance planning plan in the area 2024-2026 and the possible release of hiring to cover the need for IFeC estimated at 1 for every 3000 inhabitants residing in the Lazio region.
