Angry fans: Autograph album signed by an autopen robot.

Jon Bon Jovi has come under fire from fans for selling albums signed with an “autopen” machine.

The 62-year-old rocker was accused of selling copies of the band’s new album, Forever, with inauthentic autographs, sparking discontent among buyers.

American fans, who purchased Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album, have taken to social media to express their disappointment over the perceived difference between the editions sold in the UK and those in the US.

“How many people are asking for a refund for this prank?”

One enraged fan wrote on .. Dear @UMG, it’s costing you a lot to lie about your products. How many people are asking for a refund for this prank? I know your time is valuable, but lying to fans is not the solution. NOBODY WANTS AUTOPEN SIGNATURES.”

However, not all fans were critical. One of them pointed out that the albums were the same price as an unsigned copy. “It’s a Jon Bon Jovi autograph for the same price as an unsigned CD and people are still complaining?” wrote one fan defending the band’s decision. “I’m just grateful that a legend like him takes the time to do this for the fans. I can’t wait to get mine.”

Controversy continues to surround the issue, with many fans questioning whether the practice of mechanized autographing undermines the value and authenticity of autographed albums.
