Ramsay had a bicycle accident while in Connecticut, in the United States, and showed off the bruise he suffered on social media. The chef told everything in a video published on Instagram, reconstructing the dynamics of the fall and launching a heartfelt appeal to all cyclists: “Always wear a helmet!”.

“This week I had a bad cycling accident“, Ramsay began in his post. “I’m lucky to still be alive. The helmet saved my life.” Despite the bad fall, the chef only suffered a few abrasions and bruises: “I’m fine, I didn’t break any bones and I didn’t suffer any serious injuries, but I’m a little bruised and I look like a purple potato”. Ramsay therefore wanted to underline the importance of always wearing a helmet, showing the conditions in which the element that saved his life was reduced: “I am grateful to my helmet which saved my life.”

Finally, Ramsay wanted to express his gratitude to the doctors and nurses who took care of him after the accident: “I am grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who cared for me and examined me,” concluded Ramsay.
