Great tennis kicks off at Sporting

Great tennis returns to the first hills of Sassuolo. In fact, the Emilia Romagna Tennis Club kicks off this morning from 10am, the ATP challenger 125 tennis tournament which, until next weekend, will bring a host of champions to compete on the red clay courts of the Sporting Club Sassuolo. Today and tomorrow the qualifiers that will give shape to the main draw, which begins on Tuesday, but this ‘appetizer’ of what will be already promises a spectacle. In fact, top level players will pass through the qualifiers, suggesting the technical stature of the event, organized by Master Group Sport who found everything they needed in terms of organization and location in the structures of the club in via Vandelli. Already between today and tomorrow, in fact, Marco Cecchinato (already a semi-finalist at Roland Garros), Alessandro Giannessi, Raul Brancaccio, Alexander Weis will be seen on the field who will compete for the six places available for the main draw with a fierce competition that sees, among the other, also the presence of the Russian Egor Gerasimov and the Slovakian Martin Klizan, who recently returned to competitions after his retirement announced in 2021 and the right is treacherous. The home favourite, the 19-year-old from Romagna Federico Bondioli (in the photo), a member of the Sporting Club Sassuolo, also starts from the qualifiers.
