Volleyball always at the center of the municipality’s summer activities. The pre-world meeting of the national Deaf Volleyball team in Castelnovo Monti opened with the most inclusive activity of the program, that is, with a nice and lively meeting with the kids from the LG Competition Summer Center accompanied by their instructors.

As a preview of the training at the Giovanelli building, the Italians, captained by Claudia Gennaro for the occasion, introduced themselves one by one and had answers to the boys’ many questions. The coach Glauco Sellan and all his collaborators explained to the hearing young people their functions which give substance to an important staff work that is preparing the important appointment that the team will experience in the next few days in Japan, Okinawa.

The new Mayor of Castelnovo ne’ Monti Emanuele Ferrari also spoke at the meeting in one of the first official outings. The mayor’s greeting was then followed by a short game session in which the kids from the summer center dribbled with the deaf champions.

The Italians have started a rally that will accompany them until their departure for Japan scheduled for Monday afternoon from the Medio Padana station. Training and competitions will take place at Pala Giovanelli and Pala Bonicelli. Two friendly matches are scheduled, against Everton Reggio Emilia and against Appennino Volley Team.
