Ferrara, 17 June 2024 – Two dead and five injured: it is the budget is tragic of the road accident that occurred this afternoon in Portoverrara, between the town center of the Portuense hamlet and the ‘Baruffino’ restaurant.
He was the first to lose his life a 38 year oldfollowed by one of his own workmate a little later despite the care given by the doctors. Seven people involvedall coming from Pakistan and residing in Portomaggiore and its surroundings, all agricultural labourers who were returning from work in Lagosanto in Salvi’s greenhouses.
The accident occurred around 3pm, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, an Opel Zafyra. The minivan skidded and then it ended up in the canal which runs along the road. The car overturned, some workers managed to get out of the passenger compartment, one died among the sheets of metal and the other a little later in the ambulance.
Today was a very black day on the roads of our region: two motorcyclists also lost their lives, a 62-year-old in the province of Rimini and a 30 year old in Cesenaand the driver of a car came out off the road on the A1 in the Piacenza area.
