ALESSANDRIA – A great event of thanks to all those who helped during the flood of May 2023 in Emilia Romagna, arriving from all over the country, also allowing human lives to be saved. The party ‘Flood, one year later. A day to say thank you‘, organized today, Saturday 15 June 2024, by the Emilia-Romagna Regionat the PalaCattani in Faenza, in the heart of one of the most wounded territories, will be aopportunity to express our gratitude to those who played a fundamental role in managing the emergency and to those who are still working today to restore the damage, secure the area and fully return to normality.
Piedmont also participates in this day of gratitudeincluding Alessandria, represented by a delegation of volunteers who worked in the Emilian territories in May 2023. The Volunteers will be led by the Provincial Coordinator Andrea Morchiowho from that experience, together with his Piedmontese colleagues, created the exercise that took place last May called Alessandria 94/24, to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the 1994 Alessandria flood.
“When they say thank you it is always exciting, unfortunately in recent years we have too often found ourselves facing exceptional events. The Piedmontese volunteers once again stood out for their professionalism and availability“.
