Tomorrow, Sunday 16 June, is the day of the external feast of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The parish, which is located in a highly residential area, has prepared the program for the solemnity which falls on the 11th Sunday of ordinary time. At 9 am the holy mass while at 7.30 pm the solemn Eucharistic concelebration presided over by Msgr. Giuseppe La Placa, bishop of Ragusa.
There will be the participation of the new deacons, Don Luca Roccaro and Don Giuseppe Cascone. At the end of the celebration, the solemn Eucharistic procession will begin which will involve the following streets: Fieramosca, Colleoni, Grecia, Athens, Denmark, Ireland, Dublin, Livatino, Falcone, Almirante, Fieramosca and return to the church followed by the solemn blessing eucharistic. At the end of the procession, the program includes symphonic marches performed by the “Alessandro Scarlatti – Città di Chiaramonte Gulfi” band, directed by maestro Sebastiano Gurrieri. The fireworks show organized by Lorenzo Massari’s Pirotecnica company will then conclude the day of celebration. The parish invites the inhabitants of the streets that will be affected by the passage of the Eucharistic procession to arrange lights, flowers and white drapes outside their homes.
