Fire in an apartment building in Milan, at least 3 people dead: flames from a garage

Three people died in a fire that broke out today, June 14, in a garage in Milan, around 7 pm. Two other people were intoxicated, while a third was burned. They were all taken to hospital. The victims were inside an apartment on the third floor of the building in via Fra Galgario in the Gambara area. They are an old woman and two men (one Italian and one apparently of foreign origin). Among the injured there is also a person who worked in the garage. The flames started from the garage on the ground floor and reached the first three floors of the apartment building, which was evacuated by the firefighters. A team from the Via Sardegna Detachment and other reinforcement units from the operations center in Via Messina intervened on site. It is not excluded that other people may have been stuck inside. According to initial information, reported by Corriere della Sera, the fire apparently started from the shop which also offers car electrician and tire replacement services. The firefighters, around eight in the evening, put out the flames, managing to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the upper floors of the building.
