They gave yet another proof (not that there was any need) of professionalism and at the same time humanity Lecco Fire Brigade who today, Friday 14 June 2024, identified and rescued a boy with autistic disorder who disappeared in Galbiatean area bordering the Meratese area.

A terrifying morning for the parents of the young boy turned into a happy ending thanks to the intervention of the firefighters.

As mentioned, everything happened late in the morning in Galbiate, a town perched on the slopes of Monte Barro and with no shortage of inaccessible areas.

The parents raised the alarm about the disappearance of their son, a minor boy who suffers from autism spectrum disorders.

A UCL (Local Command Unit) was promptly sent to the site by the Lecco Command in order to coordinate the operations and as many as five teams of the Fire Brigade, on board off-road vehicles and a fire engine.

As a precaution, medics were also on site in an ambulance and obviously the police were also informed of the matter.

After about an hour of intense work, a team of the Fire Brigade managed to locate the minor, thus successfully completing the search operation.

The timely and coordinated intervention of resources made it possible to find the boy safe and sound.
