Meeting with former workers who did not find a job after the closure of the production site nor were they able to take advantage of the social amortizations provided for by the establishment of the complex industrial crisis area

Tomorrow, Friday 14 June at 10 am, in the council chamber of the Municipality of Melfi, in the presence of the mayor Giuseppe Maglione, the meeting will be held with the former Auchan workers who have not found a relocation after the closure of the production site nor have been able to use of the social amortizations foreseen by the establishment of the complex industrial crisis area. These are around thirty workers who are in an age group considered too young to retire but too old to be taken into consideration by the new logistics players. The last conversation we had in the Region in the presence of the Councilor for Productive Activities, Michele Casino, had given us hope for a glimmer of opportunity to access some form of income support. The regional and European elections had postponed the discussion until after the vote with the appointment of the new councilor. Therefore tomorrow there will be a meeting to try to understand what actions to implement to provide relief to the workers left out and definitively close the dispute. Filt CGIL secretary Luigi Ditella announced it in a note
