The regional Civil Protection has issued another pre-alert notice valid from midnight and for the following 24 hours. The warning signals the risk of fires and heat waves throughout Sicily.

The low-pressure circulation, which caused residual instability in the morning with possible rain, is moving away, allowing drier air to enter.

On the Tyrrhenian coast, tomorrow, Friday 14 June, will begin with very cloudy skies and light rain in the morning. However, cloud cover will gradually decrease throughout the day, eventually becoming partly cloudy in the evening. On the Ionian coast and the southern coast, scattered clouds will alternate with clearing throughout the day, with a tendency to large clearings in the evening. On the Apennines, in the morning the skies will be very cloudy with light rain, but the cloudiness and rain phenomena will gradually ease over the course of the day. In inland areas, the day will be mostly partly cloudy, with some scattered clouds in the morning.

Winds will be light northerly, but will weaken and rotate towards the north-eastern quadrants. The seas, the Lower Tyrrhenian Sea and the Sicilian Channel, will be rough, while the Sicilian Sea will vary from slightly rough to rough.

Maximum temperatures will decrease slightly, but the heat will persist across the island. The temperatures expected for the main Sicilian cities are as follows: in Agrigento 33°C, in Caltanissetta 30°C, in Catania 32°C, in Enna 27°C, in Messina 30°C, in Palermo 27°C, in Ragusa 33°C, in Syracuse 33°C and in Trapani 25°C.
