It has just ended in the evocative setting of the medieval village of Brienza a complex one joint exercise organized by the Regional Directorate of Basilicata Fire Brigade which involved more 120 rescuers.
A scenario was imagined emergency caused by a 6.5 magnitude earthquake, with partial collapses involving a group of tourists.
The operational protocols foreseen for this type of scenario have been activated and teams of firefighters have intervened since Power Command and Matera.
In particular the USAR Core (Urban Search and Rescue), the Nucleus SAF (Alpine Fluvial Speleum), the Core SAPR (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems), the Core Dog lovers.
The exercise activities were broadcast in live streaming thanks to the use of an innovative system satellite communication and mobile control wagons, used by qualified personnel, supplied to the National Fire Brigade.
Military personnel also participated in the exercise.Carabinieristaff of State Policefrom the Local police and associations of Civil protection coordinated by the regional office, as well as volunteers from the Italian Red Cross and members of the local section of the national association of firefighters.
The scenarios were made even more likely by presence of figures who pretended to be citizens worried about their families and journalists looking for updated news on the evolution of events.
