The Priolo Gargallo municipal council met yesterday, with the budget changes on the agenda, which included two very significant moments.
In particular, one concerned the acquisition of a Sports Centre, which would have resolved an ongoing dispute where the compensation request is equal to 3 million euros; to this we add another element, no less important, that the company in question has a debt towards the Municipality of approximately 350 thousand euros, a sum that will never be recovered as the debtor company is insolvent.
“Irresponsibly – comments the municipal administration – the opposition did not appear in the chamber, despite multiple clarifications on the issue.
However, the City Council proceeded to celebrate the second meeting. Councilors Limeri, Pulvirenti, Margagliotti, Musumeci, Blanco, Aliffi and Cavarra were present.
In a daring manner and citing non-existent and asphyxiated reasons, councilor Mariangela Musumeci left the room causing the quorum to fall, coinciding precisely with the intervention of the group leader and councilor Tonino Margagliotti, depriving the latter and the entire Council of the democratic debate.
The unjustified absence of the opposition and the abandonment of the chamber by councilor Musumeci made every effort of the Administration useless, in order to resolve a problem of the community and of the Institution”
