Thunderstorms in our area and strong hailstorms in the lower Piedmont. The start of summer is approaching, but also yesterday, Wednesday 12 June, the weather once again “gave” a day characterized by instability, bad weather and temperatures below average.
«Yet another afternoon of severe bad weather – confirms the Piedmont Weather Center – and there was no shortage of inconvenience especially in the area between Balzola and Morano sul Po, in the province of Alessandria, due to a strong hailstorm. In the afternoon, a funnel cloud was also reported in the Casale Monferrato area”.
Today (maybe) clearer weather
For today, “clearly reduced instability is expected (except for the last few showers in lower Piedmont before dawn) with room for clear spells”. These are the indications from the Piedmont Weather Center. But we know that in this period the vagaries of the weather often disprove, perhaps locally, even the predictions of the most experts.
In any case, the good weather will not last long. A more unstable situation is expected to return by tomorrow afternoon, bringing clouds and even some possible rain showers on Saturday. A new improvement is then expected on Sunday.
