FUNDS – “I can only love” is the title of the meeting which will have the actor, director, writer and television presenter as a special guest Paolo Ruffini, scheduled for Wednesday 12 June at 9pm, at the Monastery of San Magno in Fondi. From the book of the same name written by Ruffini – “I can only love. Eight stories in which love is the cure” (Baldini&Castoldi) – the meeting will be an opportunity torecount love stories contained in these pages; “stories in which love is the blade that cuts through pain, illness, or adverse conditions, and even if it cannot heal it can cure”.

Ruffini’s is an unprecedented vision of love, forgiveness, the value of emotions, as well as an unusual way of joking about illness. “I am eight stories of people who took complete care of others suffering from the most diverse pathologies with absolute dedication and love, but they also knew how to let them go. They did it with their own strength, but also fragility, sometimes anger, a sense of defeat” – suggests Enza Campino who, with the cultural association “Tutti Libri”, collaborated in the creation of the event – “Those who frequent our bookshop , Tuttilibri Mondadori in Formia, knows how much this book has affected us and we are happy to collaborate with the Monastery in the realization of this event. Its remarkably emotional reading leaves no one indifferent.”

Paolo Ruffini, with absolutely extraordinary ability and sensitivity, delivers us a ‘very useful’ book in which it will be impossible not to feel these stories close to you because they are experienced directly or only touched upon in everyday life. And even if this were not the case, it illustrates a new vision of love, forgiveness and the value of emotions. And it teaches us that you can even joke about the disease…

Don Francesco Fiorillo representative of the Monastery of San Magno announces the event as: “Una unmissable evening, where we will try to delve deeper into the theme of love starting from his latest book. In a time where selfishness and indifference take too much space in our lives, we believe in giving back the indispensable value of love is a way out of this wallless labyrinth that we are all going through”.
