A new swimming pool will be built in the “Conca D’Oro” shopping center area of Palermo. This is a solution open to citizens, which will be an alternative to Municipal swimming pool of Palermo. The structure is currently undergoing renovation work with funds from Pnrr. The aforementioned works will lead to closure starting from the current month. Therefore, it is considered necessary to open a new space open to citizens.
The construction of the new swimming pool was entrusted to the entrepreneurial group of Andrea Zamparinison of the former president of Palermo. The agreement was sanctioned by virtue of an agreement signed on 9 May 2009 between the Real Estate Malu Spa and the Municipality of Palermo. Today the municipal council, led by the mayor Roberto Lagalla, approved the resolution. This one brings the councillors’ daughter Alessandro Anello, Maurizio Carta And Giuliano Forzinetti. It was the last formal act before starting work on the construction of the structure that temporarily replaces the Municipal Swimming Pool of Palermo.

The Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Palermo, Alessandro Anello, expresses himself in these terms: “After months of work we have found the solution to the closure of the municipal swimming pool in Palermo. The resolution grants permission to build with priority procedures for reasons of public interest. The new pool, which will be made available to the Municipality for the two years necessary to complete the redevelopment of the Viale del Fante pool, will have regulatory measures. It will be underground and outdoors with the possibility of being covered with a tensile structure.”
